BAPS needs you! Black Adoption Project Southwark is Southwark Council’s Black families project and we need you! Could you make a real difference to a child’s life and provide them with the warmth and security of a loving home? Adoption can be one of the most challenging things you can do but it is also the most rewarding.
Black children need positive role models of Black family life and to live in an environment where they are not visibly different. Where they will be able to discuss first hand the issues of race and racism. Where their adoptive parents will promote their particular heritage and engender self-esteem within a cultural context.

In Enfield, we believe that people from all communities can make wonderful adoptive parents. To meet the racial and cultural backgrounds of our children, we need to hear from all kinds of people-black families, people in mixed relationships or from a mixed parentage.
We don't look for specific qualities or talents - we wnat people who can make a lifelong commitment to a child who needs permanence, stability and a loving home.
