We are musicians from the San Francisco and Monterey Bay Areas that have joined together to play Afro-Cuban music in the charanga orchestration. We play Cuban music in the styles of son montuno, rumba, danzón, mambo, and cha-cha-chá.

Leo Brouwer is an Afro-Cuban composer and classical guitarist, and Conductor of Orquesta Cordoba. Born in 1939, he began playing the guitar at 13, and made his professional debut at 17. Brouwer attended Juilliard and the Hartt College of Music. He has worked at Radio Havana and has taught Music. He has made over 100 recordings, including many film scores. He runs a guitar festival and performs at other festivals.
